Admission Notice, Session 2013-2014
Applications are invited from the prospective students desiring to take an evening course for the Master in Information Technology (MIT), to be offered by the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka.

Forty (40) students will be taken on the basis of merit. Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
  1. Four (4) years graduation in CS/CSE/IT/CIT/ECE/ETE/EEE (or equivalent degree) with at least CGPA 2.50 on scale of 4.00 (or 2nd class equivalent) or successful completion of Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT) with 3 years graduation degree
  2. No third class/division (or equivalent).
Admission test will be held in two phases. Written examination will be held to test Computer, Quantitative, Analytical and English Language proficiency. Successful (written test) candidates will have to appear a viva voce for final selection to enroll in MIT.
The classes will be held in the evening and divided into 4 semesters (4 months each).

Filled up application form should be submitted to the office of the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka with payment of Tk. 800/- in cash. (non-refundable) between 10.00 am to 8.00 pm. (from 03 November, 2012 to 04 December, 2012).

BBA Admission Circular of IBA, DU | BBA of IBA Admission Test on Nov 30, 2012

BBA Admission Test (2012-13) of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University (DU) will be held on Friday, Nov 30, 2012. The Admission Test will begin at 10 a.m. and the candidates must report to their respective test center by 9.30 a.m.

Eligibility:
All the candidates must have completed their the SSC and HSC or their equivalent in any field of study. However, if any applicant has taken the O Level Examination. He/ she must have passed at least 5 subjects including Math. In case of A Level Exam, an applicant must have passed at least 3 subjects. It is important to note that applicant with O Level and A Level must have minimum D grade in all subjects.

The minimum qualifying point to be eligible for application is 5. The point determination is explaind in the table below:

* Letter grades of O Level and A Level subjects are converted into grade point on basis of A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1. Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by averaging grade points of  the five best subjects for O Level and the three best subjects for A Level

For all other certificates or equivalence will be determined by the Equivalence Committee of IBA.

Selection Procedure: 
All Bangladeshi applicant must take the admission test. The test has two components: Written Assessment and Communication Test. The written assessment evaluate applicant's aptitude in: Language, Math and Analytical Ability. To qualify in the written test an applicant must obtain minimum qualifying points in each of the above areas. For the communication test applicants will be selected on the their performance in the written test.

Foreign nationals with a score of 1700 or more in SAT Reasoning  Test with at least 550 in Critical Reading and Math and at least 500 in writing may exempted in the written test, but candidate must appear in the communication test.

Narayanganj District Council Scholarship Circular

Narayanganj District Council invites application for scholarship from eligible candidates.

Eligibility:
  • Applicants must be a permanent citizen of Narayanganj district (without city corporation) by born and must be a regular students of Government recognized educational institution.
  • Applicants must have minimum GPA 5.00 from (Science, Arts, Business) group in SSC/ HSC exam in 2012. For freedom fighter/ ward/ lame duck applicants must have minimum GPA 4.00

  2. Recent 2 copy passport size photographs which is attested by 1st class gazetted officer/ Head of the institution/ Head of the department
  3. Attested copy of all academic certificates and marksheets
  4. Attested copy of freedom certificate ( Only freedom fighter quota applicants)
  5. Certificate of annual income of parents which is given by Chairman of Union Council/ Mayor of Municipality/ Head of the office.
